MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Good afternoon, orchestra families!

It is with great pride that I announce two additional accolades for our orchestra program! First, on Friday April 12th our ENTIRE program (not just Premiere!) was awarded the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra's "Orchestra in the Wings" distinction! This is for outstanding orchestra programs which demonstrate not only artistic excellence but community outreach and enrichment. Thank you to all our students and parents who support this program as we push to reach new artistic heights and enrich our community with our artistic talents!

In addition, Premiere Orchestra participated in State Music Performance Assessment on Monday, April 15th, and earned straight Superior ratings! I am so proud of them for their incredible dedication and performances, and thankful to our chaperones who make our trip possible!

Our final concert of the year will be FRIDAY, APRIL 26TH AT 7PM. We hope to see you and your family there!

Sincerely- Ms. Raine Hollingsworth

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Good afternoon, orchestra families!

Mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, guardians, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, and loved ones- it is with the greatest pride possible that I write to inform you that ALL of our orchestras have received top marks in their assessment performances. First, on February 29th and March 1st, Sinfonia, Philharmonia, Chamber, and Premiere Orchestras earned Superior ratings at District Music Performance Assessment. Then, Premiere Orchestra traveled to Louisville, KY, to represent DPHS, Orange County, and Florida on the national stage at the American String Teachers Association National Orchestra Festival, where they received a unanimous rating of "Outstanding", the highest possible score.

Due to these high achievements, our active participation and advocacy in the community through our artistic abilities, and your support of our growing musicians, the entire Dr. Phillips High School Orchestra is a finalist in the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra's "High School Program of Distinction" program!!! This is due to the hard work of each and every student in our program, in addition to the support their families provide everyday.

I truly could not ask for a better group of students to work with each day, nor more supportive parents and families than you all. Thank you for helping create and sustain such a vibrant strand of our local arts community.

Sincerely- Ms. Raine Hollingsworth

SENIORS SENIORS SENIORS- Parents, we need your help!

Parents of seniors! Our Senior Farewell is coming up soon at our Spring Concert, and I need your help to make it a memorable one for our graduating seniors. Please fill out this form so I can complete our first ever Commemorative Senior Program, a physical keepsake which will include their final orchestra concert program, as well as an individual page dedicated to each senior.
